Collage is a creative technique that can be used in many different ways to combine different media to create artwork. Due to its endless possibilities, it is a fantastic art form for beginners as well as for seasoned professionals.

Paper collage is the process of cutting out shapes from paper and assembling and sticking them onto a final surface to create an artwork. For this, collage artists often use interesting bits of paper they collected over time or for a specific project, or papers they created themselves by adding colours and textures to bring the collage piece to life.

I am a collage artist who loves to produce images out of papers that I paint and decorate myself. I use all kinds of different types of paper, from cartridge paper to wet-strength tissue paper, newsprint, and deli paper. I produce textures and marks with various tools and objects to create patterns and make the papers as interesting and unique as possible before cutting out the designs and adhering them to board or canvas.

My finished designs are then scanned in and cleaned up in Photoshop.
