My Blogger Page

I maintain a page on Blogger where I post odd bits and bobs that I do and that cross my mind. The window below shows a view of the blog, but it would be much easier to read my blog and take part by clicking on the following link, which will take you go directly to the blog in a new window: www.tracey-english.blogspot.com

Hectic.....

So not ready this year and sadly have had no time to create any new festive images, but very happy today to be included on Print and Pattern Blog.................
I am a little quiet on my blog these days but I still try to post each day over on Instagram so pop over and say Hi, I would love to hear from you.

A couple more.....

This week I added a three more designs to my tea towel collection. You can find them over at my shop on Etsy-oneappledesigns
I also still have a few Alphabet posters left. Every sale at the moment comes with a couple of Christmas cards.

Tea Towels

Somehow my blog is always the last one to be updated.
Anyway I finally got around to having a small print run of tea towels printed and they are now in my Etsy Shop, more designs will also be coming in the following weeks. Its always exciting to have some real life products in my hands rather then always seeing images on my screen.

Birdies

From all my sketchbook birds from the last couple of weeks, I developed a pattern. I'm going to create some greeting cards to go with it, as somehow I thought it may make a good gift wrap.

I also started to put together another one that involves dried seed heads and warbler type birds.

Birds

I recently rediscover my Old Hamyln Guide to British and European Birds from my childhood and have set about making a few studies in my sketchbook of various beautiful specimens.

September

The start of a new month and new school years for my sons. Looking forward now to getting back into a routine and getting stuck back into work again.

Here is a page from my sketchbook from last week that I created into a pattern. Thinking of making it into a tea towel.

Catching up!

Its been a while and my poor blog is a little neglected but with all the social media things it is very hard to keep them all ticking over.
This year we were away for three week and I tried to keep a snipping sketchbook for as much of the time as it was possible.
Anyone who is over on IG will of seen most of them, but for the folks that haven't here are a few of the images that I snipped!

Garden Florals

Part of my 100 day project was to snip some flowers that I found around my tiny city garden.
I really enjoyed this part of the project as I love plants and flowers, so I tried to match the textures and colours as much as possible. If you fancy checking out a few more you can see my day to day bits and pieces over on Instagram.
The 100 day project is now at an end with only a couple of days left, its had its highs and lows but I am of course very happy to have reached the end of the process.

A special meet up.

A few months ago I met up with the lovely Carmen from a Traveling sketchbook,  she is creating a sketchbook as she follows her passion for travel and meeting people.
You can read all about our saturday afternoon tea and snips over on her blog.
After reading her blog I really do think I should update my profile picture very soon!

The lovely photos were taken by Anne Neijnens

A few pups from my 100 day project!

The hundred day project is now on its final stretch and after lots of procrastination I decided just to do random 1/2 hour snips. This week was all about pups and kittens.

One of your five a day.

Very happy that I managed to scan these all in and put them together.
Not sure if I prefer it on the white or dark background people seem to have different options!

I decided to enter the Wraptious Cushion competition again this Spring and my cushions would love a few likes!

All about flowers

After finishing the ABC I felt like I needed a break from animals so I have embarked on a few flowers. Really enjoying this process although running out of things to document from my garden very quickly!

Yay! I reached Z.......

I am pleased to say I reached Z! Need to redo A as at the moment it is an Apple and needs to be an animal.
The 100 day project of course continues and I plan to do a fruit and vegetable ABC with maybe a little interlude for a floral break!!
Below is a selection.

The 100 Day Project-1/2 Hour sketchbook snips!

So many other things going on at the moment that I just can't post, and not enough time for personal projects but I did decide to take part in The 100 day project hosted by Elle Luna over on Instagram this year again, something short and sweet that has a time restraint to make it managable! Find me posting everyday for 100 days over here! Kicking it off with an A-Z!

Winter School Week 2

The second assignment in Winter School turned out like this!

The best thing about these courses is that they push you to do things you couldn't of dreamt up!
